HOUSE EXTENSIONS
House Extensions
House extensions come in many different shapes and sizes for a multitude of different uses. It is common for an Architect to be employed to produce drawings and provide a specification. It may also be necessary to obtain planning permission.
SGM have undertaken many projects, ensuring first and foremost that the structure of the extension and that of the parent property are maintained. Some extensions often require large frames installing due to the width of the openings created in the parent dwelling. SGM take a pragmatic view to design whilst keeping in mind your requirements instead of using a one-size fits all or generic solution.
Below are two examples of extensions to houses, 15 York Road and Hawthorn Cottage. The former was an innovative use of curved steel to create the curves the architect and client had wished for, the second it a more traditional, still attractive single storey sun room.
